Nutrition Study Shows Rise in Vitamin D Deficiency

The National Nutrition Survey 2025 reveals that 80% of urban Indians, especially those aged 18–45, suffer from Vitamin D deficiency due to indoor lifestyle, lack of sunlight, and poor diet. This deficiency leads to fatigue, weak bones, hormonal issues, and reduced immunity. Doctors recommend 20 minutes of daily sunlight, Vitamin D-rich foods like milk, mushrooms, eggs, and fortified cereals, and supplements in consultation with a physician. Public health campaigns are being launched to raise awareness in schools and IT workplaces.
